About Our Founder: Jazzmin Pitts

I founded Healed Black Women (HBW) because I know firsthand the impact of mother wounds and attachment trauma. The mother-daughter bond shapes how we love, trust, and see ourselves—when broken, it creates cycles of disconnection and survival mode. I built HBW to heal at the root, not just treat the symptoms, using attachment theory as our foundation.

I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, deepening my work in trauma, family dynamics, and healing in marginalized communities. My mission is simple: when Black women heal, families and communities transform—and I’m committed to guiding that journey.

Vision

Healed Black Women envisions a world where Black women's mental and social empowerment transforms families and communities globally.

Mission

Healed Black Women is dedicated to fostering mental health, social-emotional learning, and holistic well-being among Black women. Through monthly workshops and community initiatives, we build supportive communities that empower women to achieve personal growth, strengthen family bonds, and drive positive change in society.
